✨ About Me – Nikoru Nicole

Hi, I’m Nikoru Nicole — an online name inspired by the Japanese translation of Nicole.
This little space is where I collect the moments, memories, and adventures that shape my life.

My love for blogging began in 2014, after seeing friends share their own stories online. It inspired me to record the places I’ve been, the food I’ve enjoyed, the paths I’ve walked, and all the memories of my younger days. Over time, I slowly shaped this website into a cosy corner that feels personal, warm, and easy to explore.

❄️ My Skating Journey

I first stepped into an ice rink when I was in Primary 6, and officially started learning skating in Secondary 3. I wasn’t part of a school team — instead, a newly retired coach accepted me as his student and taught me everything about the beauty and joy of skating.

Even though I’m currently taking a break, my love for skating never faded. I still cherish the feeling of dancing freely on the ice. Watching the movie Ice Princess reminded me of my own story — except that unlike her, I never managed to convince my mother to fully support my skating dream.

📸 Photography & Pageants

After entering the working world, I slowly got into outdoor photography and met many talented photographers. It was an honor to learn from them and to see how much hard work lies behind every picture.

Later, I joined several beauty pageant competitions. Although I didn’t reach the semifinals or win any titles, the lessons I learned were priceless. I discovered the importance of communication, confidence, and staying true to myself. It’s never about not being good enough — there are simply many people who shine in different ways. As long as I’ve given my best, even losing feels meaningful.

🎀 Crafting & Creativity

In July 2015, I began exploring handmade crafts. Inspired by my husband and our adorable doggies, I started creating handmade pet replicas and eventually turned it into a small craft business. To my surprise, I received several orders and found so much joy in creating something from scratch. I also share some of my craft posts here whenever inspiration flows!

💄 Becoming a Makeup Artist

Makeup has been my passion since Secondary 2, influenced heavily by my sister. I always dreamed of studying professional makeup, but the fees were too high back then.
In January 2016, I finally enrolled in a professional makeup course.
On 6 August 2016, I graduated and officially became a professional makeup artist — a milestone I’ll never forget.

Like many Libras, I can be pretty indecisive — and honestly, it can be tiring!
But it’s also part of who I am, and I’ve learned to embrace it as part of my journey.

Travel is one of my greatest passions. I want to explore every corner of the world, leave my footprints everywhere, and learn from every experience. Traveling shows me the beauty of the planet and always lifts my mood.

❤️ My Relationship & Family Journey

I married my husband on 07 December 2012, after being together since 2011. In 2023, we entered parenthood — a completely unexpected but beautiful journey for both of us.

Life has changed in many ways, but we’re grateful for every step we take together. We appreciate each other deeply, and we hope to continue loving, supporting, and growing together — living a long, happy life side by side.

This blog is my tiny diary — a home for my stories, passions, and memories.
One day, when I’m older, I hope I’ll be able to look back and smile at the younger me, the girl who loved skating, beauty, traveling, crafting, and living life with a full heart.
